TREE OF LIGHTS RESULTS
When health care is needed, being close to home matters more than we often realize. Familiar surroundings, trusted caregivers, and the support of loved ones all play a vital role in healing.
This past holiday season, with the help of an incredible volunteer team, the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation mailed out over 3,100 Tree of Lights letters to our incredible donors. This letter highlighted the story of Marnie Williamson, who was seriously injured in a vehicle accident. Being transferred back to St. Francis to recover made all the difference. It eased the strain on her family, allowed her husband Ted to be by her side each day, and gave Marnie the comfort and encouragement she needed on her path to healing.
Her story inspired so many to give this past holiday season. Funds raised through the Tree of Lights Campaign will help support critical equipment and comfort items for the hospital’s medical unit - tools that improve safety, dignity, and recovery for patients who rely on St. Francis every day. These are the kinds of investments that are not funded through government support, but are essential to delivering the care our community expects and deserves.
Thanks to our amazing donors, we are thrilled to announce that our 2025 Tree of Lights Campaign raised an astounding $155,589 for local healthcare, including the purchase of essential items for St. Francis Memorial Hospital's medical unit.
Because of our supporters, healing can remain local, families can stay connected during their most vulnerable moments, and our healthcare teams have the tools they need to provide the best possible care.
We could not do the work that we do without our incredible donors. The Foundation remains committed to our mission and looks forward to another successful year ahead, raising funds for St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care and Valley Manor.
