MCRAE LUMBER DONATES $10,000 TO SUPPORT LOCAL HEALTHCARE

The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation (SFVHF) is celebrating a generous $10,000 donation from McRae Lumber, thanks to the overwhelming support of the Catch the Ace community.

At the start of the Foundation’s Catch the Ace lottery, McRae Lumber issued a community challenge, pledging to match the proceeds of every ticket sold during the first four weeks of sales. By the end of Week 4, ticket sales had raised an impressive $9,880. Staying true to their word, McRae Lumber rounded the total up to a full $10,000 donation in support of local healthcare.

“We are so grateful to McRae Lumber for their incredible generosity and community spirit,” said Erin Gienow, Executive Director of the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation. “Their challenge not only boosted early Catch the Ace sales but also inspired many others to participate in a fun way to give back.”

The funds will help support vital healthcare services in the community through the Foundation, which raises money for St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Valley Manor, and Madawaska Valley Hospice.

McRae Lumber Co-Owner Cameron McRae said the company was simply happy to lend a hand.

“Healthcare is something that touches all of us,” Co-Owner Cameron McRae said. “We’re proud to help strengthen local care, and are thankful that the community got behind this initiative.”
